NaijaMart has spent over two years bringing authentic Nigerian products to doorsteps across South Africa, built by a Nigerian-South African family, trusted by hundreds of customers, and rated 4.6 stars (out of 5 stars). Now we’re expanding into ready-made Nigerian meals, and we’re looking for home cooks and small caterers in Johannesburg and Pretoria who can help us supply them.
If you already cook jollof rice, egusi, ogbono, or other Nigerian soups and stews at a level your community relies on, we’d like to buy your cooking consistently, and at a fair rate.
What We’re Looking For
- Dishes: jollof rice, egusi, ogbono, banga stew, efo riro, moin moin, and similar Nigerian/West African dishes
- Format: rice-based dishes supplied by the kilogram, soups and stews by the litre.
- Consistency: the same recipe, the same result, batch after batch
- Location: based in or able to deliver to Johannesburg or Pretoria
- Documentation: a valid Certificate of Acceptability (COA) for your kitchen; this is a legal requirement for anyone preparing food for commercial sale in South Africa, not optional paperwork

What You Get (Become a supplier)
- Steady, repeat orders instead of one-off gigs
- A fair, agreed rate per kg/litre, paid on time
- We handle the marketing, the customers, and the delivery; you focus on cooking
- A short paid trial before any ongoing commitment, so both sides know it’s a fit
- Room to grow if the volume works for you
Become a supplier: How It Works
- Apply: tell us what you cook and how much you could supply
- A short call: we talk through volume, pricing, and your kitchen setup
- Taste test & trial batch: a small paid order to confirm quality and consistency
- Ongoing orders: once it’s a fit, you become a regular NaijaMart supplier

Rather than asking you to find customers one order at a time, we want to build long-term relationships with trusted cooks whose food represents the quality, authenticity, and flavours our customers expect. If your cooking has earned a loyal following, we’d love to help you reach even more people through NaijaMart.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Do I need a registered business?
No, a home kitchen is fine, provided it holds a valid Certificate of Acceptability from your local municipality. This is a legal requirement for preparing food for commercial sale in South Africa, so it’s the one thing we can’t be flexible on.
I don’t have a Certificate of Acceptability yet. Can I still apply?
Yes, apply anyway and let us know it’s in progress. We just can’t move to a paid trial until it’s issued.
How much can I earn?
It depends on the dish and volume; we’ll agree a per-kg or per-litre rate with you directly before any order is placed.
What if I can only supply one dish, or a small volume?
That’s fine, apply with what you’ve got. We’re building a range of suppliers, not looking for one person to do everything.
