Fresh kpomo, also known as ponmo or cow skin, is used in Nigerian soups, stews, sauces and peppered dishes. Its chewy texture absorbs seasoning and complements richly flavoured meals.
Delivery restriction: Fresh kpomo is available only for eligible same-day deliveries in Gauteng. Customers outside the same-day delivery area should order dried kpomo instead.
For dried kpomo
Soak dried kpomo in clean water for at least 3 days, changing the water regularly, before cooking until tender.
Food safety: Keep fresh kpomo refrigerated, wash it thoroughly and cook it completely before eating. Natural portion size and appearance may vary.
